Alan and Morag - Owners of Allers Farm Kennels (by the staff)

Alan and Morag have been in the kennel industry for over 20 years and have a continual policy of improvement in all aspects of animal care and welfare. Their warm and welcoming manner always puts our customers at ease knowing their pets will be well looked after during their stay.

All of the staff enjoy working here and although it is a business it has a family atmosphere, we all feel like an important part of the business as everyone's opinions and suggestions count.

Kennels Staff

Linda

Linda is the longest serving member of staff and was formerly a customer whose dog was boarded here while she went to work. After early retirement Linda worked as a kennel assistant for 2 years and is now the office manager, keeping track of bookings and orders insuring that there are no problems when you book your pet into the kennels. Linda is a keen dog lover and she has 2 Springer Spaniels, mother and daughter, Jin and Cass and a Border Terrier called Brock. Brock, Jin and Cass always enjoy their time at the kennels when they come to stay, even if its just a quick visit to KUTZ for a wash after a run through the muddy fields.

Jen

Jen has worked at Allers Farm Kennels since 2008 and originally joined the team in the role of hydrotherapist. She was promoted in 2010 and she now holds the position of Kennels Manager. She is qualified to HND level in animal care and management and holds certificates in Canine Hydrotherapy. Jen is now responsible for the day to day running of the kennels. Early in 2011 a Cocker Spaniel called Cindy came to the kennels and was in a bad way due to her owner being unwell and unable to take care of her. After a month, her owner sadly passed away and Jen decided to take on as her own and took her home to join her 3 cats.

Janet

Janet has worked at Allers Farm Kennels since 2005 as a kennels assistant and has a wealth of experience from working in other kennels. Janet has a kind and caring attitude to all of the pets that are boarded here. Her 2 Border Collies called Troy and Marnie are regular visitors to the kennels where they also get groomed at KUTZ.

Sandra

Sandra joined the kennels in 2007 as a kennel assistant although she had no previous experience working with animals other than her own cats and dogs. She has now become a valued member of staff and nothing is too much trouble for her. In 2010 Sandra rescued Peaches, a Cocker Spaniel that had been abandoned. When Peaches was brought into the kennels, she was in a poor state and after a visit to the local vet she was found to have a peach stone lodged in her abdomen, hence the name Peaches. After an operation and lots of TLC, Peaches now lives with Sandra alongside her Golden Retriever Monty and her 2 Cats.

Kayleigh

Kayleigh joined the team in 2011 and is our newest recruit; her enthusiastic attitude to the work and the animals boarded here is second to none.

Grooming Staff

Frederica

Frederica opened Kutz Dog Groomers at Allers Farm Kennels in 2005, having been a loyal customer for 5 years. Her 18 years grooming experience has helped her to grow the business and employ 2 more members of staff. Her two dogs Phoebe a Pug X and Jazz a Boston Terrier X look forward to time at the kennels and a having a quick dip in the pool.

Adie

Adie joined Kutz in 2006 with no previous experience, she trained with Frederica and is now a confident dog groomer. Aide has 6 cats and 1 dog, DJ.DJ was rescued along the road from the kennels by Alan and after a few days Adie decided to take him home.

Katie

Katie worked at the kennels while she was at school, she helped with the cleaning duties and walked dogs. After training to be a dog groomer she rejoined us in June 2010, this time working with Frederica at Kutz. She regularly brings Monty her Springer Spaniel in for a visit and get his groom. She has recently got a new horse called Harley and looks forward to visiting him after work.
